Elder Law, Medicaid Planning, & Special Needs Trust Planning

In our representation of elderly clients and their families, we proactively address traditional estate planning concerns which process may involve planning for and qualifying for Medicaid.

Medicaid planning involves repositioning assets in an effort to preserve family resources, especially for a spouse who will remain in the community. Such planning promotes the independence and quality of life for the Medicaid beneficiary. We are adept at creating innovative solutions that allow our clients to become Medicaid eligible, thus protecting substantial assets from diminishment due to nursing home costs.

We advise clients with regard to special needs trusts, guardianships and powers of attorney with the goal of protecting assets for a special needs individual while allowing the individual to qualify for government benefits.
