Andrew W. Davis
Andrew’s practice is focused on all aspects of corporate, business and estate planning.
Andrew regularly counsels his clients regarding the transfer of assets, including closely held businesses, to minimize tax consequences and maximize asset protection. Andrew has vast experience in assisting his clients in planning their estates, including issues relating to special needs, long term care and land use. In addition, Andrew is involved in all aspects of charitable planning from advising clients with respect to charitable gifting and the establishment of charitable remainder and lead trusts, to the creation of private foundations, as well as advising nonprofit and for profit corporations on a myriad of governance and corporate issues.
Andrew has represented clients in cases involving business, trust, estate and fiduciary disputes. Andrew’s broad range of experience spanning more than twenty-seven years, allows him to provide innovative and practical solutions for his clients.
Andrew received a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Texas.
Andrew has been involved with the Rhode Island Free Clinic as a board member for many years and serves on a number of private non-profit foundations, as well as a past board member of Mental Health Services, Inc.
